I'm not a Tim Minchin fan. I've watched the doco from his time before he was famous, I've listened to his performances and some of his songs, I just don't think he is that funny. I actually think he makes a better musician than comedian.

Tim Minchin is an incredible musician. I agree that sometimes hes more musician than comedian, but fuck sometimes he is right on the money hahaha

^^ I saw one performance when he worked in the breakdown from November Rain (the part just before the solo) into the middle of a song about overindulgence (great use of irony). The song was a great joke, but a lot of it was far too subtle, hence why he has been called the thinking man's comedian. Also his jokes are also a lot of clever observations, satire, etc and as a result aren't particularly laugh-out-loud funny, but rather grin funny.

In fairness I did see a funny female comedian once.
