The NASA community mourns the loss of Tim Rickett, a well-known personal trainer in the Fort Collins area and long-time NASA power lifter. Tim never let his cancer get in his way. Tim constantly challenged himself and others, and inspired people to go beyond their limits.
Tim was a long-time bench press competitor, starting with his first meet at USA Powerlifting in 1997, lifting 451 pounds! In May of 2011, Tim set a NASA world record in unequipped bench press with 308 pounds in the 165 pound weight category. Tim accomplished this while still undergoing chemotherapy!
