Supp boyz was curious if you guys have every used finasteride or minoxidil while on cycle? if so any sides or if it was effective? Can you come off of it when you are done with the cycle and my hair be normal?

The reason I ask is because I am looking to mitigate sides before I start my blast 🚀

Also heard that it doesn’t work if your take DHT derivatives because your not blocking DHT conversion if the compounds are already DHT based etc.

For context in my mid 30's with all my hair still, no visible balding but I am cruising on 200 mg Test per week. I do get the occasional 7-10 hairs that come out when I shampoo my head during a shower.

Finasteride can help with androgen-related hair loss from testosterone conversion, but it doesn’t really do anything against DHT-derivative compounds since they’re already active. That’s where a lot of people get caught out expecting it to be a full “shield.”

Minoxidil seems more like a support tool rather than prevention. It can help maintain or thicken what’s already there, but it doesn’t really address the underlying hormonal trigger. Some people report decent retention while on cycle, others still notice shedding once androgens are high enough.

I’ve seen that anything regained or maintained is pretty dependent on whether the follicles were actually miniaturizing in the first place. If things were stable before and during, hair usually just returns to baseline rather than “rebounding” either way.

Thanks for sharing! Sounds like prevention early is the best bet and won't be able to avoid it on DHT derivatives!
