Flyweight

Post-Fight Reactions

Following the event, much of the discussion centered around Ankalaev's measured approach.

Some fans criticized the fight's lack of action, while others, including former UFC champion Chris Weidman, defended Ankalaev's tactical performance, arguing that Guskov's reluctance to engage contributed significantly to the bout's pace.

Ankalaev acknowledged the criticism but maintained that his priority was securing the victory and expressed interest in future high-profile matchups.

Classic Ankalaev right there. Total snorefest for the first three rounds where he just coasted, but you can't deny how methodical he is once he takes it to the mat and pours on the ground-and-pound. Solid card overall, but that main event was classic chess match until he finally decided to pull the trigger in the fifth.

This card had a nice mix of vets and new talent. Ankalaev stayed patient and got the job done but Temirov was the real winner of the night for me. Cant wait to see who they match him with next.
