Underdog Brandon Moreno was taken down by Askar Askarov in the first round but Moreno rebounded in the 2nd and 3rd rounds with his crisp punches. Getting the bigger number of significant strikes and a longer control time on the ground, undefeated Askarov escaped defeat with a split draw. Aside from the draw of one judge, the other judge had it 28-29 for Askarov while the 3rd judge scored 30-27 for Moreno.

This was Askarov's UFC debut and he held his own. He didn't show any weakness in the enemy's tuff and that shows with time he is going to be impressive.

I didn't catch the fight live but I watched it later via some link I found online. To be honest, this was just another fight that didn't leave an impression.
