UFC Fight Night – Barboza vs Chikadze

On August 29 elite kicker Edson Barboza will grace the octagon against Giga Chikadze for the main event of the UFC Fight Night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas . With a fight record of 22-9 Barboza will test the mettle of the upcoming Chikadze who has 13 wins and only 2 losses. It is not a title fight but promised to be exciting with the striking prowess of both fighters.

At the outset the speed and power of Chikadze was obvious that Barboza seemed to be groping. In the 2nd round Barboza was able to get some good hits but Chikadze came back in the 3rd round. Chikadze was cornering Barboza until he found the hole of defense for a flurry of strikes. The referee had intervened to cause a KO amid the protestation of Barboza. It was clear that Chikadze had won the fight via stoppage.
