A slambang bout is expected from Santiago Ponzinibbio and Neil Magny who are aiming to be the welterweight number 1 contender. In their most recent fights, Ponzinibbio has shown his wares when he defeated heavy puncher Mike Perry while Magny has beaten veteran Carlos Condit. Magny has a record of 21-6 while Ponzinibbio has 26 wins with 3 losses. The fight will be held in Estadio Mary Terán de Weiss in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

It was an exciting fight despite the edge of Ponzinibbio in every round because Magny sometimes uses his long reach to hit Ponzinibbio. Unfortunately for Magny, the kicks of Ponzinibbio on his leg had a lasting effect that made him lose his mobility. In the 4th round, a strong punch on the face felled Magny and the referee had to stop the fight to save Magny from more damage. The fight was held in Argentina and Ponzinibbion being an Argentinian had the crowd on its feet.

Ponzinibbio is a beast. Apart from that cut on his eyelid from that headbutt, I think he did really good. He has crazy leg kicks and powerful punches, no wonder he knocked out Neil.

I wish I got to watch this fight. After watching a couple of videos showing the highlights of the fight, I regret not watching it.

If I heard it right, the commentator said that the cut on the eye of Ponz had been a distraction so I thought Magny would be pretty cool and was just waiting for the opportunity. But Ponz was a punching machine with his relentless attack that it looked like Magny couldn't breath anymore.

I finally got around to watching this fight, and I must say, I'm not taking anything away from Ponzinibbio, but Magny's terrible strategy had at least something to do with his resounding defeat.
