The much awaited championship in the light heavyweight division of UFC ended in an unexpected knockout. Champion Daniel Cormier was challenged by former champion Jon Jones. It will be remembered that Jon Jones had already successfully defended his belt when he was champion. He had defeated Cormier by decision. But due to a suspension for doping violations, Jones was stripped of his title which went to Cormier. Well, the rematch was going great until Jones hit Cormier with a head kick in the 3[SUP]rd[/SUP] round that led to a referee stoppage. So sad for Cormier who was very expectant that he would beat Jones this time.
