UFC lightweights – Cerrone vs Iaquinta

Donald Cerrone is certainly getting good notice from the UFC boss. After 2 TKO wins last year and early this year, Cerrone is once again featured in the main event of UFC Fight Night on May 5. Cerrone will meet Al Iaquinta who lost by unanimous decision to current UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. The fight will be held in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

This may be one of the most brutal fights of Cerrone. In round 2, Iaquinta suffered a welt on the face followed by a broken nose that kept on bleeding. That injury had diminished the fight of Iaquinta which gave Cerrone the upper hand most of the way with a knockdown once in a while. In the last round Iaquinta’s face was a bloody mess. The unanimous decision of the 8th ranked Cowboy Cerrone was worth the fight of the night.
