UFC women’s flyweight title - Valentina Shevchenko vs Jessica Eye

Valentina Shevchenko will defend her UFC flyweight title against Jessica Eye as the undercard to the Cejudo-Moraes of UFC 238. The champion from Kyrgystan has a fight record of 16-3 while the challenger has a record of 14-6. It is not exactly pretty even because Shevchenko is not only a crowd favorite but also a favorite in the betting odds although the numbers can change a few days before the fight on June 9.

UFC women’s flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko lived up to her billing of -1400 in the betting odds with knockout win over #1 contender Jessica Eye. The 1st round KO was due to a head kick that felled Eye and seemingly helpless on the mat for some moments that the referee had to signal the end of the fight. The win was expected but not too short for a championship fight.
