Vargas vs Broner in a welterfight elimination bout

Adrien Broner will be facing Jessie Vargas on April 20 in New York as an elimination fight. Broner, a 4-division champion, is confident that it will be an easy fight for him despite losing to Mikey Garcia in his last fight. Broner sports a fight record of 33-3 while Vargas, who is a 2-division champion, has has 28-2.

It can be considered a good fight but not exciting since there was no knockdowns and the only incident was a cut over the eye of Vargas. Even the boxers seemed not to be content with the fight because when the decision was announced they exchanged harsh words. Two judges saw it as a 114-114 draw so it was declared a majority draw. The 3rd judge had it 115-113 for Broner. A rematch is being hyped but with the kind of fight they had, no promoter might be interested.
