Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko will be defending his WBA lightweight belt against WBO champion Jose Pedraza. The former Olympian gold medalist who is favored to beat the Puerto Rican brings with him a fight record of 11 wins against 1 loss. At this early Lomachenko is looking for unification bout against Mikey Garcia. Asked about fighting Manny Pacquiao, Lomachenko replied to the negative that he is not interested.

It was a lackluster fight in the early rounds because both boxers seem to be sizing up the opponent. In the middle rounds there were good punches but it cannot be considered remarkable. Lomachenko was leading in the scorecards going to the 11 round that it is surprising for him to let out a barrage that caused 2 knockdowns. In the last round it was clear that the fight was won by Lomachenko since Pedraza seemed to have lost ammunition.
