Former world lightweight champions Robert Easter, Jr faces Rances Barthelemy for the vacant WBA lightweight title on April 27 in Las Vegas. Easter, who is ranked #3 by the Ring Magazine, holds a record of 21-1 with 14 KOs while Barthelemy has 27-1 with 14 KOs for his fight record.

The vacant WBA lightweight title was contested by Barthelemy and Easter. Unfortunately the WBA lightweight title remains vacant because the 2 fighters fought to a lousy split draw. According to pundits, there were so few punches that the whole fight was boring and it was deserving of the split draw. Everyone seems to agree that it was a ho-hum fight and so unlike of a world championship fight. Maybe the fighters were scared to be hurt.
