Alicia Napoleon-Espinosa will make the 2nd defense of her WBA women’s super middleweight title against Shemelle Baldwin on August 29 at Foxwoods Resort Casino, in Mashantucket, CT. The champion has only 1 loss against 11 wins and 6 KOs while the challenger has a career record of only 3 wins and 2 KOs with 1 draw and no losses.

The touted championship fight did not materialize at all because it showed the raw skills of the challenger that Espinosa capitalized. Baldwin seemed to be groping in the early part but was dominated when Espinosa released her ammunition. The fight ended in the 4th round of a fight that can be considered an overmatch. Espinosa picked up here 7th KO in 12 wins while Baldwin suffered her 1st loss.
