WBC Latino middleweight title fight - Yamaguchi Falcao vs Chris Pearson

May 2 is the big day for Yamaguchi Falcao to defend his WBC Latino middleweight belt against Chris Pearson at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The undefeated champion has 16 wins and 7 KOs while the challenger has more KOs with 12 for his record of 16-2. Take note that Pearson had defeated Falcao by split decision during their amateur days in 2011.

It was an upset by Chris Pearson to get a unanimous decision win over Yamaguchi to claim the Latino Middleweight title. The judges had scored the fight 96-94, 96-94, and 97-93. It was a sorry loss for Falcao who suffered the first loss in his career and it was obvious that he was sad about the outcome of the fight although there was no protest whatsoever.
