It was a sad ending for Adonis Stevenson’s 10th defense of the WBC light heavyweight crown. Leading in the score cards, Stevenson was knocked out by Oleksandr Gvozdyk in the 11th round. Stevenson, who is in coma as of press time, suffered his 2nd loss against 29 wins while undefeated Gvozdyk upped his record to 16 wins. .

After 3 weeks of being in coma, former light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson finally woke up. It is good news for the fans not only of Stevenson but for the boxing fans in general because boxing is waning in popularity and a death of a boxer is a very unwelcome event. The family of Stevenson said that the boxer is recovering beautifully at home and under the care of specialists.
