WBO interim bantamweight title fight – Ricardo Espinoza Franco vs Johnriel Casimero

Mexican Ricardo Espinoza Franco will square off with Filipino Johnriel Casimero for the interim bantamweight belt on April 21 in Cason City, California. Casimero was a former 2-division champion with a fight record of 26-4 with 17 KOs while Franco a fight record of 23-2 and has 12 KOs in his last 13 wins.

The WBO interim bantamweight belt was claimed by Filipino Johnriel Casimero with a KO in the last round. Casimero hit Espinoza with a haymaker for the first knock down in the 6th and stopped Espinoza in the 12th round with a standing stoppage. The scoring was almost even before the stoppage and Casimero was happy that he prevented the judges to rule the result of the fight.
