Puerto Rican Angel Acosta will defend his WBO junior flyweight crown against Ganigan Lopez on March 30 at the Fantasy Springs in Indio, California. Mexican Lopez is a former WBC champion with a fight record of 35-8 and 19 KOs. The champion is a heavy favorite in the betting odds with his record of 19 wins all by KOs and only 1 loss.

The fight went on as expected with the champion all over the challenger. The quickness of Acosta made it a one-sided affair against Lopez. In the 8th round the fight ended with a knockout for the successful 3rd defense of Angel Acosta as the WBO junior flyweight champion.
