WBSS bantamweight – Naoya Inoue vs Emmanuel Rodriguez

WBA champion Naoya Inoue will face Emmanuel Rodriguez in the semifinals of the WBSS (World Boxing Super Series) on May 18 in Glasgow, Scotland. Inoue, dubbed the monster, is undefeated with 17 wins and 15 KOs while Rodriguez who is also undefeated has 19 wins and 12 KOs. The winner will face Filipino Nonito Donaire in the finals for the Muhammad Ali trophy.

As what the headline said, the monster strikes again. Japanese champion Inoue made short work of Rodriguez with his killer punches. After a good almost even first round, Inoue started his attack that caused a knockout of Rodriguez that was followed by a flurry of heavy punches. After suffering 3 knockdowns in the 2nd round, the referee stopped the contest to save Rodriguez from further harm. The undefeated champion collected his 16th KO in 18 wins.
