Former welterweight champion Chris Algieri earned a resounding win with a knockdown that caused a stoppage. Tommy Coyle was no pushover because he even hurt Algieri in the second round. But Algieri was quicker and has stronger punches that the knockdown in the 8th round caused the end of the fight. Algieri earned his 9th KO with his fight record of 24-3 while Coyle dropped to 25-5 with 12 KOs).
