I was speaking with a buddy who used the phrases interchangeably, which I didn't believe was the case.

What are the functions of a dietitian and a nutritionist? What are the distinctions?

Dieticians are certified and registered and they also treat clinical conditions. Dieticians are educated in both diet and nutritional matters.

Nutritionist are not all certified in what they do. The difference is in the restrictions on this two specialities.
