Rose Namajunas shot to fame when she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk in the first round to win the UFC strawweight belt Previously unbeaten with 14 wins, Jedrzejczyk was stunned by a punch of Rose that sent her to the mat and was pummeled up to the tapout. Rose was a 1 to 4 underdog with a record of 7 wins and 3 losses coming to her 11th fight. Incidentally, the last loss of Rose was against Karolina Kowalkiewicz, a compatriot of Joanna.

Well you cannot really argue with the sport being very representative of a large group of people from diverse regions by looking at those two last names. I am not sure that I would want to try to pronouce either of those.
