Why Does Beta-alanine Paresthesia Happen and How Can You Reduce It?

Beta-alanine paresthesia happens when the supplement turns on MrgprD sensory nerve receptors. These are located under your skin and cause that familiar tingling or prickling feeling. I've had the full face-and-ears tingling from beta-alanine and it definitely feels weird the first few times. Never really bothered me once I knew what it was, but splitting the dose makes a noticeable difference. I'd rather get the same benefit without feeling like ants are crawling over my skin.
