One physical trainer that I talked to said that the best workout is every other day. But it’s actually 3 times a week since we are usually busy on weekends with personal matters. It’s like doing the workout M-W-F or T-Th-S which is the ideal schedule. The rest on the next day is to give the body time to heal with the stress of the workout. The muscles also develop during the rest day. And it’s a good idea to eat well on this rest day so you have a lot of energy for the workout on the following day.
