Zak Wilkinson, a 32-year-old bodybuilder from Middlesbrough, spent over £35,000 on anabolic steroids and fat-burning drugs in just two years. His daily stack included substances like Anavar, Masteron, and Equipoise—often injected multiple times a day—alongside thyroid hormones T3 and T4, Clenbuterol, Proviron, and other compounds.
His extreme lifestyle also featured a brutally restrictive diet of just five foods—chicken, rice, broccoli, egg whites, and steak—eaten in six meals per day, plus 45 minutes of daily cardio. On March 23, 2025, Zak collapsed with seizures, vomiting, and intense sweating. He was rushed to the ICU, where he was placed in a medically induced coma for a week.
Doctors cited the seizures as "likely provoked" by his multi-drug abuse. Despite early fears of permanent brain damage, he regained basic functions but was left too weak to lift his own son. He now suffers from epilepsy, PTSD, an eating disorder, and severe body dysmorphia.
Zak has since walked away from bodybuilding entirely and now speaks out against steroid abuse, warning others that a shredded exterior can hide devastating internal damage. He hopes to steer young men away from the illusion of perfection promoted on social media.
Be careful guys! Don't go overboard!
