My initial reaction was more or less the same. It's certainly more humanistically considerate than most sci-fi actioners. Sure, it only splashes around a bit in the concept's philosophical possibilities, but it does enough right to get my recommendation. I like it more than Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, which I saw last week.

I wonder if the men's competitors know exactly when they'll be on stage, or if they're backstage expressing the same kind of frustrations we are. You'd think that this schedule would fuck with their timing.
