On October 26, 2013, the anniversary date of the 1881 OK Corral Gunfight, the 2013 Deadlift Shootout took place outdoors on Allen Street in the historic town of Tombstone, AZ. The meet brought lots of cheers and excitement, from the locals and tourists, to this Old West legendary town. Nineteen lifters endured the blazing sun and dirt on the platform showing all that they are "too tough to lift in a gym" in the “Town Too Tough to Die”.
