The Punjab State Bodybuilding Competition will be held at GK Resorts, Kotakpura Road, Muktsar, on September 10. The competition is being organised by the Punjab Amateur Bodybuilding Association (PABBA) and sponsored by Golden Gym.
According to a joint statement by Parminder Singh Chhinna and Ravi Prashar, president and general secretary, respectively of the organising association, for Mr Fresher, competition will be organised for new comer bodybuilders in which they will vie for top honours in the below 55 kg, 60kg, 65 kg, 70 kg, 75 kg and above 75 kg categories.
The first three position holders in each weight group will be awarded prizes, besides merit certificates will be given to those finishing up to the fifth place. Besides, competition in the senior section will also be held in which participants will compete in below 60kg, 70 kg, 80 kg and above 80 kg weight groups.
The first three position holders will be give cash prizes, besides mementoes. Performance during the championship will be taken into consideration while selecting the Punjab bodybuilding team for the forthcoming North Zone Bodybuilding Championship.
