Rohit Khatri Fitness breaks down the top 5 chest exercises that go beyond the standard barbell and dumbbell presses. If you’ve been pressing heavy but still see no growth in your chest, this routine is for you.

1. Butterfly (Machine Flys)

The workout starts with butterfly flys. Rohit explains that when performed with elbows angled correctly, this exercise maximizes chest activation while minimizing shoulder involvement. The key is leading with your elbows and holding the squeeze for a blood-flow–driven pump.

2. Cable Press

Instead of the usual bench or dumbbell press, Rohit recommends the cable press. The constant tension of cables keeps the chest engaged through the full range of motion, preventing the muscle from relaxing at the bottom. He calls this one of the best pumps he’s ever experienced.

3. Dips

Perfect for chest definition, dips are often performed incorrectly. Rohit stresses leaning the chest slightly forward and keeping grip width just right. Done this way, the chest—not shoulders or triceps—takes the load, giving deep lines and shape to your pecs.

4. Incline Cable Fly

Safer and more effective than dumbbell flys, the incline cable fly maintains constant tension and prevents shoulder injuries. By lifting the chest slightly upward and controlling the stretch, you get maximum activation and growth stimulus.

5. Push-Ups (Finisher)

The workout ends with push-ups as a brutal finisher. After hitting the first four movements, even 15 push-ups will feel like a challenge. Rohit explains that this final burnout seals the pump and makes the session complete.

Program Notes

  • Perform this chest workout twice a week for 4 weeks.
  • Pair chest with triceps or back with biceps for balanced growth.
  • Take progress photos before and after—you’ll notice visible changes in 8 sessions.
Rohit also emphasizes proper post-workout nutrition with a fast-digesting protein source to maximize recovery and muscle growth.
