Abdominals for old timers

When you get old you hurt and can get injured easier. You should adapt your training to be less joint and cartilage intensive.

One way to do this with abdominals is leg raises lying down and what I call cheat sit ups.

Simply lie on a mat and lean forward with your head and shoulders and kind of flex your abdominals and hold the posture for 5 or 10 seconds.

I've had a lot of experience with this bending your torso into your knees is unnecessary and is stressful on the body.

Leg lifts can be hard on the lower back.
