Achilles tendon rupture is a condition that affects the rear of your lower leg. It mostly affects persons who participate in leisure activities, although it may happen to anybody.

The Achilles tendon is a strong fibrous cord that links your calf muscles to your heel bone. When you overstretch your Achilles tendon, it may totally or partly tear (rupture).

If your Achilles tendon ruptures, you may hear a pop followed by an instant acute pain in the back of your ankle and lower leg, which may impair your ability to walk normally. Surgery is often used to heal the rupture. Nonsurgical therapy, on the other hand, works just as effectively for many individuals.

Let’s talk about Achilles health.
