Hi Russia. Enjoy your cold summers, even colder winters, your lack of democratic governance, your massive levels of corruption, your socialist dogma and your civil war (oh right that last one "isn't really happening"). We in Australia will enjoy nice white sandy beaches, warm weather, alcoholic beverages that don't double as automotive anti-freeze, the ability to vote for political representation that isn't fixed by socialist factions and general sense of well being as seen by our laid back nature.

We don't have alligators in Australia. We have the bigger and more dangerous Crocodile. Crocs are known for their ability to kill anything, including sharks (answering that eternal question over which would win in a battle between a shark and a croc). We also have the most number of species of deadly poisonous snakes in the world, including several of the most venomous. We enjoy Crocs and snakes because they keep the American tourist numbers down :borat:

As for fat women; every country has them. Trick is to get them before they get fat or trade up to a younger thinner model :borat: Being Australian we have no problem doing this. Plus being a warmer country we don't need the fat women to keep us warm during winter.

This is unfair, I have Skippy chasing my squat with Smolov and Tim planning on a 210kg pull. Now I have to work twice as hard to maintain my dominance. :shakefist:

They done that on Discovery already, Shark won.

Does anyone in here do any kind of core training? I was looking at switching to a upper/lower split for mon/wed/fri and on tues/thurs/sat do kickboxing/core building exercises. Just looking for ideas :icon_ninja:

Oh and I was box squatting about 110kg for sets of 8 - 10 last Friday.

Also trawl Elitefts for MMA articles. They have quite a few good reads.

Yeah you put me onto that site before dude, I've been browsing :thumbsup2:

I've been coming up with a new routine the past few days, so I was going to post it in here in hopes of getting some feedback/critique. I only have a basic idea but I was thinking of a upper/lower routine, done 3 days a week (upper monday, lower wednesday, upper friday) switching it every week (So the next week would be lower monday, upper wednesday, lower friday). I was thinking 3 sets 3 exercises per training session. Would I have to lower the volume on whatever part im training twice that week? So maybe just drop an exercise off to make it 3 sets 2 exercises? Any suggestions are welcome :gaysign:

Oh and my bad on the mini thread hijack, you may choose to ignore :bullwhip:

Its the Aussie thread so all training questions by Aussies are valid.

What sort of program is it? Strength and power? Hypertrophy? I see on need for you to lower your volume. I train upper and lower twice a week on problem. Just do a deload every 4th week.

If you're planning on doing a strength training program the look up Jim Wendler's Triumvirate program or look through www.ironaddicts.com for 3 day Westside templates. I can help you adapt the templates for your training experience level if required.

I was looking for strength and power. On the off days I'll be doing MMA and endurance related exercises (bag throws, block bustering etc etc).

I'll check out those templates when I get home, I'm sitting at tafe atm. Thanks in advance dude :xyxthumbs:

oh and I've been training for about 4 - 5 years now.

^^ But that would still be an excuse that the 120kg guy would use for not doing chins. Oooo I'm too big to do chins.
