If you're over 40 and have been working out for many years, then your lower back is probably bothering you, if not outright causing you constant pain and discomfort. And if you have had spinal surgery, then you know damn well that you have to take care of that sensitive location even more than before. One tip is to perform lat pulldowns backwards (facing away from the machine) so that the knee pad is supporting your lower back and preventing you from arching it

Aside from the bench press, Lat Pulldowns are one of the most well-known workouts in the gym is the lat pulldown.

It's a must-have for anybody looking to bulk up their back muscles and get the V-shaped back demanded by bodybuilders, weightlifters, and fitness fanatics alike.

The exercise has many versions that may be performed with very little modification other than adjusting the grip you're using.

Furthermore, you may modify the workout to target your back in a number of ways and to your comfort level.

However, because of its ubiquity and versatility, it is often done poorly or in a manner that may cause more harm than good. Remember that good form is essential while increasing the weight you're lifting.
