Middleweight kickboxers Rafael Carvallo and Chici Njokuani will square off on July 12 as the co-main event of the Budd-Rubin bout of Bellator 221. Both standing at 6 feet, 3 inches, Brazilian Carvalho has a fight record of 15-3 while Njokuani from USA has a scoresheet of 18-5. Both are offensive fighters that fireworks would be expected.

Former middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho earned a unanimous decision over Chidi Njokuani. Carvalho looked dominant with his grappling that left Njokuani defenseless at times. Carvalho improved his fight record to 16-3 and is looking for a bigger fight next time maybe a Bellator main event.

Note: It is actually Bellator 224 and not 221 as per the title of this topic.
