Look at the video that was posted as the "tribute" to 9/11. It starts off talking about how Iran held the American civilians hostage in the late 70's. Yes, they did, but of course, the video selectively omits what America did in overthrowing Mossadegh, in favor of their puppet, the Shah.

This is how the video narration should have went.

It started in 1953 when we overthrew a government which was strongly supported by its population. We did this even though they never attacked us, never attacked any of our allies, nor did they do anything to provoke war upon the United States. However, we big macho Republicans along with Eisenhower threw in the shah as requested by Great Britain. Thus, the U.K. could continue using 90% of their oil supplies.

Surprisingly, decades later the Iranians...I mean "terrorists" unexpectedly fought back for their country even though the CIA didn't find them capable of such a task. Then, as we were creating a plan for once again overthrowing their government, those stupid freedom fighters took about 50 of our diplomats hostage in 1969 for 440 days. In return, the "terrorists" requested peace from the United States. How dare they!

We will win this war on evil terrorism, because we will have a president that knows the secret of how to win against terrorism. As long as you re-elect the Republicans, we'll never let 9/11 happen again. Because, we will intimidate those small groups of jihadists by invading countries that had nothing to do with the attacks.
