The proprietors of a club that has since closed are being sued by an OnlyFans bodybuilder who was injured in a fight that included a metal stool and left him unable to work as a result of the incident.
In the Bondi Beach bar in Sydney, Australia, CCTV video showed Clinton Chadwick, who was believed to be earning more than £57,000 via the website, receiving several blows to the head from another guy. The other man's actions were captured on camera.
The bodybuilder has filed a lawsuit against the proprietors of The Bucket List, claiming that they were negligent in their duty to prevent the attack that rendered him unconscious.
The North-South Wales Supreme Court was told that the incident occurred on December 22, 2017, when Mr. Chadwick and Mr. Martin got into an argument. Stephen Martin was also a witness.
Martin, who was seen seated at a table when Mr. Chadwick approached him, said in front of the judge and jury, "He was being disrespectful, and I responded, 'Let's go outside and straighten it out then.'"
In the footage, Mr. Chadwick can be seen pushing Mr. Martin, at which point Mr. Martin grabs a metal stool and proceeds to punch his attacker twice.
The court has already heard that Mr. Chadwick was rendered unconscious by the assault, which he said left him with both physical and mental impairments. He also claimed that the incident rendered him unconscious.
He claimed that he could not recall how many drinks he had had before he arrived at the bar, but he did agree that he had drunk at least five liters of beer prior to his arrival.
The court was informed that Martin was found guilty and sentenced to prison for the assault, and the bodybuilder is now claiming that the pub violated its duty of care by failing to prevent the incident from occurring.
Mr. Chadwick is suing the bar for compensation for his bodily injuries, as well as recompense for his medical expenditures, past and future financial loss, and other monetary losses.
His mother said in court that ever since the altercation, her son has been "struggling," and that she has been forced to seek a second job to help support him. She also stated that her son "used to be big on social media," but that he is not anymore.
According to what the court heard, the tattooed bodybuilder had made a request for a disability pension a few years ago.
The hearing will continue for a while.
