Cotto says goodbye to boxing

It’s now time to retire, according to Miguel Cotto after losing the WBO middleweight belt to Sadam Ali last December 2 in Madison Square Garden. The gutsy Puerto Rican lost on points in all the the judges’ cards. Cotto’s noteworthy wins were against Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Ricardo Mayorga, Yuri Foreman while his noteworthy losses were to boxing greats Manny Pacquaio, Floyd Mayweather, Canelo Alvarez and also to Margarito.

I think the good news is that these days there just seems to be a lot more opportunities for these athletes outside the ring when they are done. As long as they are likable and a little intelligent I bet he find himself a nice life after the sport.
