^^ Too much risk on my knee squatting as deep as I do. It doesn't take too much to have the knee itself holding the position. It would be fine at a parallel or more shallow position.
With the box I'm reminded not to go any lower.
Agreed. When I do these 3 sec rest pauses I only go parallel or slightly below. It will make even the weight you feel is light extremely difficult.

I have been focusing on ATG squats now myself with these to change things up occasionally.
