Tevin Farmer will defend his IBF junior lightweight belt against Jono Carroll on March 15 in Philadelphia. This is the 3rd defense of Farmer for his title and he has a fight record of 28-4-1 with only 6 KOs while the challenger is undefeated with 16 wins and 3 KOs. This fight looks like it will go the full route of 12 rounds.

American champion Tevin Farmer retained his IBF junior lightweight title by beating challenger Irish Jono Carroll. It was a lackluster fight in spite of the flurries and continuous punching by both fighters. There seemed to have no power in their punches as if they were competing for the number of punches only. In the end, the judges decided to award the fight to Farmer. It is the first loss of the previously undefeated Carroll.
