It will be an exciting match to see 2 boxers with quick feet and rapid punching styles when WBC and WBA middleweight champion Saul Canelo Alvarez meets IBF champion Daniel Jacobs in Las Vegas on May 4. Jacobs with a record of 35-2, 29 KO, won the IBF version of the middleweight division by a split decision over Sergey Derevyanchenko last year. Jacobs is an acid test for Canelo.

The bettings odds proved correct when Canelo Alvarez won by unanimous decision over Daniel Jacobs. Both champions were quick in their exchanges but it was obvious that Canelo had more punches and hits than the American champion. In the end, there was no protest whatsoever when Alvarez was proclaimed winner to claim the belt of Jacobs. Even the fight moderator agreed with the scoring of the judges that Jacobs lacked initiative in his punches.
