Well, it wasn't really all 500+ lbs that hit your foot, was it? Unless you had loaded all the weight onto one side of the bar... So I don't really see what the fuss is about. And lastly I don't get why somebody would start squatting without making sure the bar was loaded and locked correctly...
But I guess it still stings a bit, even though it was perhaps only 300 lbs that hit your foot santasmile

I do somewhat at fault... clearly i left turk with an inferior spotter ( some clown from school.. not flex) so joseph... since the turd who didnt put the clip on wont take responsibility for his terrifying breach of training partner code... i guess i will

... it was actually 500lbs, when 2 plates fell off of the opposite side and I threw the bar off my back it landed on the rack and went down diagonally crashing on his foot DIRECTLY (6 plates of his side, 4 plates on the other= 495lbs)..........
