Javier Fortuna was overweight when he entered the ring hence the IBF lightweight belt was not at stake. Champion Rober Easter, Jr. had a hard time in extracting a split decision over Fortuna who showed his counter-punching skills. But the 26-year old champion was helped by the point deduction against Fortuna for punching the back of the Easter’s head. Fortuna suffered his second loss against 33 wins while champion Easter remains undefeated with 21 wins.
