IBF Minimumweight championship

The new Ota City Gymnasium in Tokyo is the venue of the IBF Minimumweight championship between Filipino Vince Paras and Japanese Hiroto Kyoguchi. Both fighters are undefeated with Paras having 13 wins and 10 KOs while Kyoguchi has 9 wins with 7 KOs. On May 20, Paras will be the youngest Filipino at 18 to win a world title in boxing.

Unfortunately for the 18-year old Filipino Vince Paras, it was a one-sided fight in favor of Japanese Hiroto Kyoguchi. It is the second defense of Kyoguchi for the IBF minimum weight crown with all 3 judges giving a score of 117-110 in favor of the Japanese champion. Paras suffered the first loss in his career but he is still young and has much to improve in his fighting skills.
