1B.

Hammer Press: 40/12, 100/12, 140/8*3*3 (14 rp) up weight!
(11-15 rp) these are pause presses, so i let them touch the pad on each rep!

Jerk and Press: 50/8, 70/8*3*2 (13 rp) 1 up
(11-20 rp)

Decline Lying Tricep: 30/12, 45/ 10*3*2 (15 rp) 1 up
(15-30 rp)

Pulldown: 60/10, 90/8*4*3 (15 rp) 1 up

Reverse Rows: 60/10, 100/11 (11 ss) 1 up
(10-12 ss)

1 up = progressed 1 rep from last time i did the exercise
up weight = figure it out tard!

with those hammer presses, i have to place a boxing pad on the seat to extend the range of motion, i guess i have long arms maybe, also it one of those chest press/pulldowns hammer machines in one! so clearly their testing process was shit, its basically a tricep machine when used as is! it works ok with the pad and me pausing but!

im might swap the exercise out next blast if its not working as planned or harrass the gym owner to get a proper hammer press, maybe a wide chest press!

but yeah i progressed on everything! i love DC, more than your mothers!


ohhhhhhhhhh there was this really tall try hard in the gym todaym total poser, was training with some undersized aids victim friend of his, and kept using heavy weights with the worst form ever to impress him!

his lifting was like he was exercising with weight, really dynamic, like he was swinging his side laterals, and letting his arms bend heaps and tilting the db upright! then letting them drop from the sky, where he would bend down and swing them up from his knees and repeat! i wish i could have told him how minimal he is!

his db bench was to full lock out with no stretch position!

his rope pushdowns were again really dynamic where he let the weights smash into the top of the stack with momentum and let them fall to the bottom with a similar lack of control!

it was painful, in the end i can only control what i do, so im going to eat a Drumstick ice cream, yum!

That tall bloke sounds like a right turd. Let's hope he gets crippling back pain.
As for your session - good stuff. 1 up on everything. Always a pleasure - never a chore.

haha I love the story man! Good session and I like how you modify the workout to improve your range of motion!

hey pickle im in sydney over easter wanna train legs on sat, im staying in darling harbour, do you think any gyms will be open, i'll pay! or we can train at yours, do you have a power rack or anything and like 110 kgs of weight?

Palms up wrist curl: 20/10, 30/15 (15 ss) 3 up!
(10-12 ss)

Seated Calf: 30/12, 55/10 (10 ss) up weight!
(10-12 ss)

Seated ham: 12/12, 15/12*4*2 (18 rp) 1 up!
(15-30 rp)

Squat:60/10, 100/8, 130/7 (7 ss) 1 up!, 65/20 (20 ss) up weight!

well i had a good sesson, slow steady improvements, unfortuantely i had a terrible start to the day with my preachers going backwards!

i think i was curling to much with my right arm, and then it fatigued well before my stronger left arm, i have to make sure i pull more even next time! but considering my skullcrushers and preacher curls use a similar weight, maybe my biceps slowing down is not such a bad thing!

im going to Sydney for the Easter Long weekend! i hate long weekends because gyms are never open, but hopefully there is a gym open on sat in sydney, despite my GF complaining about how training affects our holidays, what its like 2 hours of our time including travel and changing clothes, surely you can shop somewhere with your mother why go cluster fuck some front squats! also i want to see the big boys in the city to give some perspective on my size, its easy to feel things aregoing well when you train in a town of 20 thousand people, and live in a town of 7000, being the big guy here means nothing!

thanks to all those who have been stopping by regualarily and from time to time, really appreaciate the cooments, and will try to make it to your logs dpending on time permitting and my download limit!

im angry


i just checked the first pages of my log only to discover my sqauts are infact worse than they were months ago, i have sqautted as much as 9 reps on 130 kgs sqauts! and i did only 7 today! when the anger subsides, it will be replaced my a strong comittment to get back to where i was/ start sqautting 140 kgs for 8 reps, im so pissed, fuck, my legs are heaps bigger these days too, must be my front sqauts improving!

maybe its my bodyweight going up too!

well maybe its just from trying to improve the front squats so much!! dont get angry! once u commit to sqautting it will go up no prob man~!

Slight Incline Bench: 60/10, 80/8, 100/6*2*2 (10 rp) failed, explain later
(11-15 rp)

Smith Press: 50/8, 70/8*4*2 (15 rp) 1 up
(11-15 rp)

Reverse smith: 60/10, 100/8*4*2 (14 rp) 1 up

Hammer Pulldown: 60/10, 100/8*4*3 (15 rp) 1 up
(15 rp)

T-bar: 50/8, 70/9# (9 ss) dropped the weight, still not making target rep range!
(10-12 ss)

had some technique issues with slight incline bench today, basically i need to drop the weight and decide how im going to press it and keep that form consistent etc!

T-bars were hard, that Hammer pulldown goes from vertical to almost a horizontal movement at the contraction point, so thats why my T-bar is unusually low, maybe next blast i might change one or the other, or do some shrugs instead of T-bars!

im going to start a thread on my chest dilemma, go there!

going to the Broncos vs Roosters game tomorrow.............big dilemma, i follow the Broncos these days but my Grandpa is on the roosters honour roll from back in his Rugby League days! i like more Broncos players than Roosters, so i'll stick with the Broncos wooooppp

use lower weight to practice the inc presses...but dont go too low because you meight start feelin like a girl :keke:

Don't sweat it kr - as you said it just strengthens your resolve to get better and surpass it. You have damn strong lifts so work on that!

Great work Knight! I had a problem a while back with form on my presses and I finally just had to leave the ego at home and drop my weights to receive all the benefits of a full range of motion.
