Michal Križo explains exactly how he turned his legs from a weakness into one of his strongest body parts heading into the New York Pro.

He was asked what changed after people criticized his legs.

His answer was simple and direct.

He split leg training into two separate days:

  • One day for quads only
  • One day for hamstrings, calves, and glutes
This allowed more focus and better recovery.

His current prep structure:
  • Quads: 3 to 4 exercises, usually 4
  • Hamstrings: 3 to 4 exercises
  • Glutes: 1 to 2 exercises
  • Calves: trained with hamstrings
He believes this change is what improved his legs the most.

In the offseason, he reduces volume and combines everything:
  • 3 quad exercises
  • 1 hamstring exercise
  • 1 calf exercise
  • All in one session

Training Context From the Video

He is about 6 weeks out from the New York Pro.

The workout is done on Matrix machines with strict execution and controlled reps.

You can see:
  • Full quad separation
  • Thick hamstrings coming in
  • Better overall leg balance

Why This Works

If your legs are lagging, this is the takeaway:
  • Train legs twice per week instead of once
  • Separate quads from hamstrings
  • Keep volume high during prep
  • Reduce volume in offseason to recover
This approach increases focus and intensity without burning out.

Krizo shows that fixing weak body parts comes down to structure, consistency, and pushing hard when it matters most.
