^^ Red is actually really good fun. I watched it this week and felt it rose above the pretty ordinary premise.

Meh, too many other films with potential, especially with school tapering my viewings of late.

The King's Speech. 8/10

A very good movie, strong performances. Colin Firth is dreamy.

I know you already saw and liked it, which is good, even if I didn't care for it at all. If you're interested, a review can be found here.

thanks man, good review. i think the main reason i enjoyed it was that i was just in the rigth mood for some light entertainment, and some good old shooting and killing and beating people up.

Sucker Punch

2/10 Its gets the 2 based on the fact that the chicks are hot and they show a little booty in the movie. Besides that their was no real plot line. The story with in a story with in a story idea was no excuse to not have a plot line which is what i felt happened. Probably one of the worst movies I have ever gone to the theater to see. The chick that gets away in the end should do porn she had a hot body.

LOL

Agreed...some of the discussion about what the movie was supposed to present was pretty interesting, but I didn't enjoy the movie itself at all.

I agree about Prometheus. I was left frustrated because it could have been so good. The editing was bad and the script was worse. Acting and Visuals were great but the narrative was a convoluted mess with no solid foundation. I understand leaving ambiguity and leaving things up for interpretation but they just went overboard with it. Leaving way too much for interpretation, even things that we ultimately insignificant. I went to watch it with a girl and as we left the theater i was left like this....

Speaking of Ridley Scott, the 30 year anniversary of Blade Runner was on Monday and they are releasing a 30 year anniversary collectors edition set on October. Im very excited for that.

The Artist- A silent movie about silent movies that speaks volumes. This film transcends the story arc and is full of metaphors that correlate the film and the real world. Amazing subtleties in the body language and cinematography. This movie is a work of art from the acting, body language, cinematography, themes, characters to the title of the film. Absolutely awe inspiring, definitely deserved the Best Film awards as well as Jean Dujardin deserved Best Actor.
