lol this is kinda funny even though im a GSP fan, it fucks all the rankings up though, which is still kinda cool...i dont really mind serra winning, i feel like shit cause i like gsp, but serras pretty cool too, plus so long as its not apiece of shit like sylvia im cool...ANYTHING can happen in MMA

The fact that Serra won after getting his spot by a shameless gift of a decision over Lytle mars his title though. Props to him for beating Rush(which sucks in a huge way for me), but he shouldn't have been there in the first place.

Things are what they are. BTW, what was up with Diego? Sounds like he mounted next to zero offense, and the fight was the most heavily booed of the night from what I've heard. Sounds like Matt Hughes when he lost his strap to Rush; I wonder if Diego will blame 'not believing enough' too:gayaway:

Props to Okami, although I do really enjoy Swick. Other than that, it looks like things fell where they were supposed to. Bummer about Spratt though; sounds like he was running the fight before getting caught in that ankle lock. I'd have liked to see Imes win as well, but not at the expense of Heath, so meh:e5dunno:

gsp would of cost me money if would of bet on the fight.
diego finally lost good.. needs to know what a loss feels like see how he rebounds. the rankings are definately screwed up now. and if gsp was disinteredted in the fight then its good he lost he just got the belt h eshoul dbe more aggrsssive then ever..

Diego got outclassed simple as that. The best part was that Kos beat him standing. I feel bad that GSP lost, but it couldn't have happened to a better guy (Serra). It adds some spice to the WW division, and at least Serra is not someone like Sylvia. This just proves how young GSP is, if he can properly rebound from this and come back, it'll prove if he is a real champion. The funniest thing is that Diego lost, cause if he had won he proberly would have gotten a title shot :49: now hes 18 and oooooooonnnnnnnnnnneeeeee :D

Zelg turns around and Takimoto moves to side-control. Takimoto spins for an armbar but Zelg escapes. Zelg mounts after a flying stomp misses. Takimoto uses good leg work to get full guard. Zelg back to his feet. He lands 2 punches that floor Takimoto. Zelg stomps on his face and soccer kicks his opponent in the face twice. Zelg now working from Takimoto's guard. Takimoto has an omaplata. He switches to the other arm and forces a tap with a Kimura. Impressive performance by the Japanese fighter.

Shoji moves to half-guard. Yvel ties up a leg and goes for a heel hook. Shoji locks up an ankle of his own. Yvels escapes and finishes Shoji off with several right and left hands on the ground. Late stoppage by the referee. Shoji took several unnecessary punches.

Don Frye (Pictures) vs. James Thompson (Pictures)
Round 1
Frye drops Thompson with a right hand in the opening seconds but he did not follow up. Perhaps waiting for the referee to stop the fight, Frye briefly walked away before jumping into Thompson's guard. The fighters are now back on their feet. Frye and Thompson trade hockey fight style punches reminiscent of Frye's war with Takayama. Thompson takes Frye down and quickly gets mount. Frye escapes to his feet and eats 2 knees to the body for his effort. Frye trips Thompson. James now on top in side-control after a failed Frye guillotine choke. Thomson stands up and delivers a brutal soccer kick. Frye stands and takes more punishment. Frye slugs back. Both fighters are fatigued. Frye has taken a savage beating in the corner. Finally the referee shows mercy and stops the fight. As was the case with the Shoji fight, the referee waited far too long to stop the contest.

Kazushi Sakuraba enters the ring. He is joined by Kiyoshi Tamura. Sakuraba is shedding tears. He tells the crowd he will fight again in the PRIDE ring soon. Tamura says he would like to fight Sakuraba.

Shinya Aoki (Pictures) vs. Brian Lo-A-Njoe (Pictures)
Round 1
Lo-A-Njoe catches Aoki with a flying knee right off the bat. Aoki pulls guard but Lo-A-Njoe gets back to his feet. Lo-A-Njoe crushes Aoki with another flying knee. Aoki catches a leg and takes the Dutchman down. Lo-A-Njoe sweeps but Aoki catches him in a fast armbar to force a tap in the opening minutes.

Ricardo Arona (Pictures) vs. Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (Pictures)
Round 1
Sokoudjou fires two low kicks into Arona's legs. And Another. Arona shoots but Sokoudjou defends. Sokoudjou knocks Arona out with a brutal uppercut. Arona was out cold.

Jeff Monson (Pictures) vs. Kazuyuki Fujita (Pictures)
Round 1
Monson shoots but Fujita sprawls. Monson, still standing, hops on Fujita's back. He tries a takedown but Fujita drags him down. Fujita and Monson are scrambling for position. Monson fighting for a single-leg. Fujita is proving to be a hard man to tackle early in the fight. Monson trips Fujita and applies a body lock from behind. Monson punches the sides of Fujita's head. Monson gets a hook in and works for a rear naked choke. Monson slips in the hold and forces a tap with the rear naked.

SAKU's coming back!!!

and Sokodjou is the FUKIN MAN!!!! Africa baby!!!!
