No, I can't infer your intended tone from your words alone. I mean, they're certainly not offensive words, but they're not humorous either -- I didn't, and still don't, detect any facetiousness that would lead me to believe you were making an odd compliment about Phil's genetic superiority. If that's the case, you're adept at taking an overtly roundabout way to making a very simple point.
