^^This was in reference to a burned game, FF. Those require an encryption break(chip) to play; although I'm glad to hear you haven't had any problems with buying used games on E-Bay. I remember buying one used, and the surface looked like he'd wiped his dog's nose with it and then dragged it along the road.

Any Dead Rising fans out there? Holla if you are, and give an opinion.

And screw Capcom for making it a crappy 360 exclusive:tear:

^^Truly. New and sealed is the only way to go, in my opinion. Stuff's cheap enough as is, so it's worth paying a few bucks more for said status.

Any Lucasarts fans out there? Favorite games from said developer?

Need for speed carbon is a great game to play, but you will need your own cdkey for more use over the net, career mode is short but is enjoyable, just finished the game last night

Mercenaries for the PS2. Addictive and open ended as crap; an extremely fun game. Anyone else given it a play?

i bought Mortal Kombat Armageddon today and holy crap this game rocks!!

it's definitely one of the best fighting game i've ever played and the konquest mode is really cool and much more improved from deception and the motor kombat is fun as hell.

PS: quan chi owns all and this game is awesome!!

It's reviews have been quite low by comparison, but said crowd can be too cynical at times. How does the gameplay and overall experience stack up to Deadly Alliance? Or Deception for that matter? Seems to me that they may be falling into the same-old disorder that initially robbed the series of its luster.

Shaolin Monks was the first original product based in the franchise that didn't suck immensley; the subject matter itself just doesn't seem to be that flexible.

these are some reviews from wikipedia

IGN - 8.5/10
Gamespot - 7.0/10
Game Informer - 8.25/10
GamePro - 4.5/5
Games Radar - 9/10
Console Game World - 96/100
GameDaily - 4.5/5
X-Play (Review Show) - 2/5

it's pretty good reviews with an average at about 80 % at game rankings

in my opinion this games totally owns other MK games and it's just plain awesome :hsughr: :hsughr: :hsughr:

Tekken 4 was the cream of the crop for me; Soul Calibur Two also takes the duke in the latter category in my eyes, although I remember playing the crap out of Soulblade on the PSX back in the day.

Mortal Kombat is a historic franchise though; I remember freaking out at Arcade Land in SoCal when the first standup initially debuted, being blown away by the seemingly real-life graphics. A lack of innovation has been what's seemed to hamper it over the years, as well as stupid garbage like Nightwolf, Baby-malities, etc... Deadly Alliance breathed new life into the title, and that was successfully continued in Deception. Shaolin Monks seemed to continue to build on that good momentum with a new and popular feel, but Armaggedon seems to have left many scratching their heads.

So in being a strong fan of said game Spike, what has really made it excellent for you?

first of all the character roster wich is 60 plus although lm a huge fan of deception it didn't have all my favourites in it (quan chi, shang tsung) it lacked a lot of the cool characters in my opinion so the 60 plus fighters are awesome.

another thing is the actual fighting is so smooth and flowing and with the new aerial fighting where you can fight in mid air it gets real cool and way better than previous MK games

and of course the konquest mode is just jacked up to the hilt,it's more like shaolin monks and way improved from deception and it's a lot of fun no boring stuff just plain fun and crazy fighting.

in my opinion this is the definite MK game with a complete roster, new and improved konquest, much more improved fighting, the only thing that really left some people "scratching their heads" is that their is no real character bios so some things are left unexplained but midway is going to release character bios soon so that's good.

^Looks amazing Pain; let us know how it handles.

Thank you for sharing your assesment Spike:xyxthumbs: Story's never been the strong point of the franchise, so it's good to hear the fighting engine itself has been improved.
