One FC lightweight championship

Eduard Folayang of the Philippines will defend his belt against former champion Sh8nya Aoki. It is actually a rematch because Folayang had defeated Aoki by KO for his first belt when the Japanese was the champion. Aoki is a grappler and submission artist but Folayang is a heavy striker who is capable of repeating a knockout on Aoki.

The fight was expected not to last the full 5 rounds but the finish was unexpected. After some good exchanges, Folayang was taken down and a neck choke by Aoki put the champion to sleep. The crowd went wild with the win of the Japanese challenger who removed his gloves while Folayang was still recovering on the mat. It was noticeable that the weakness of the Filipino fighter is the take down.
